Time Line of Events

-April 2014

 -April  this nonsense started with a miscommunication and documentation error on a physical profile which he corrected the next day.

-May 2014

-May, his Company Commander blindsided him by recommending him for a GOMOR over the matter.

-June 2014

-June 16, he was issued a GOMOR and had 7 days to submit matters.

-During the next week IPAP placed him on non-academic probation, recommended him for relief using a format not consistent with the regulation, recommended him for relief 2 days later this time using the correct format and was given the right to a “Brigade Inquiry”(which nobody can give us an accurate description of what that consists of).

-July 2014

-July 2, IPAP placed him on “administrative hold” which consists of nothing more than getting accounted for and sitting isolated in the hospital library.  Stop all training, patient contact and no participation in IPAP activities.

-July 9, Meeting with MAJ              from IPAP. where she stated she felt he should not be a PA, and that she knew of the GOMOR.

-July 10, IPAP reps and senior leaders of Hospital chain of command had a meeting, he was certainly not told about this but overheard a conversation about it and was confirmed the last week of August it did take place.

        -July 15, I started this blog

-July 23, CPT          blindsides him again with a second GOMOR and confiscates his government laptop, again 7 days to submit matters.

-August 2014

-August 11, during a scheduled meeting with COL       he tells my husband 'the issues regarding his future career are a waste of his time' and recommends the GOMOR to be filed permanently.

-August 21, BG         's secretary emails him to inform him that the General will NOT meet with him as he requested and have the right to.  The General signed a memorandum that the GOMOR be filed permanently. 

-August 25, the day after he was informed of the final disposition of the GOMOR, he submitted his formal resignation.  The next day he was told that it was denied and asked if he still wants a “brigade inquiry”, he then emailed his supervisor to go ahead with it.

-September 2014

       -Sept. 1, Mass mailing of letters go out from my mother-in-law. 

       -Sept 9th IPAP contacted Capt.        to ask if the inquiry was still going on. Nothing had been done since August 25th. When my husband called to tell me this I was extremely mad and called AMEDD C&S Command and spoke with the CG’s ExO in Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Once again my husband had to say whether or not he wanted an inquiry. He said NO this time so we could get on with our lives.  

       -Sept. 11th they officially relieved him from IPAP, because of the permanently filed GOMOR.
